Prior to the founding of the Center for Buddhist Studies in 2017, the Department of East Asian Studies hosted a regular Buddhist Studies lecture series, with support from the Khyentse Foundation. The Center for Buddhist Studies is hosting four series of lectures: Khyentse Foundation Buddhist Studies Lecture Series, Pu Yin Buddhist Studies Lecture Series, Lingyin Buddhist Studies Lecture Series, Ōbaku Ingen Lecture Series, supported by the Khyentse Foundation, the Pu Yin Educational Center, Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, Wanfu Temple in Fuqing and Matcha.com.
