Dr. Jiang Wu was recently invited to attend the 2017 Fo Guang Shan University Presidents Forum organized by the Fo Guang Shan International University Consortium. The event was held from November 3rd to 8th, 2017 at Fo Guang Shan Monastery, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The goal of this forum is to foster greater communication and collaboration among leading universities and Buddhist studies university programs across the globe. Ven. Hsing Yun, founder of the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Order, attended the opening ceremony and met with all delegates. After the forum, Dr. Wu attended the 2017 PNC and ECAI meetings in National Cheng Kung University in Tainan and presented a paper entitled "Regional Religious System and Linguistic Geography: A Revisit of Willem Grootaers' Survey of North China in 1940s."
