Dr. Jiang Wu attended the conference titled "The Dissemination Ways of Buddhist Civilization" organized by the World United Buddhist Foundation, the World Buddhist Youth Foundation, the Buddhist Ortho-Creed Association, and Dharma Seal Temple on Nov. 10, 2018 in Los Angeles. This event was held in conjunction with the founding of the World United Buddhist Foundation and the World Buddhist Youth Foundation. On behalf of the Center for Buddhist Studies, Dr. Wu presented a gift to Ven. Hongzheng and Ven. Shengkai who lead the two new foundations. During the opening ceremony, Congresswoman Judy Chu (27th District of California) awarded Dr. Wu a Certificate of Congressional Recognition for promoting Buddhist cultural exchange and World civilization dialogue. On behalf of the City of Rosemead, City Council Member Polly Low presented to Dr. Wu an Award of Recognition for his dedication to Buddhist studies.
