Khyentse Foundation Award for Excellence in Buddhist Studies Renewed for 2021-23

The Center for Buddhist Studies and the Department of East Asian Studies are pleased to announce that the Khyentse Foundation Academic Development Committee has renewed the Award for Excellence in Buddhist Studies for three more years, from 2021 to 2023. The Award was first granted from 2018 to 2020. 

The Award is an annual prize of US$1,500 in recognition of distinction and hard work in the field of Buddhist Studies. Undergraduate or graduate students at any level of study are eligible and the award may be shared by more than one student. The award will be made on the recommendation of the Department of East Asian Studies. 

We are grateful to the Khyentse Foundation for their generous support. In addition to this award, the Khyentse Foundation is currently supporting our Hangzhou Buddhist Culture project, the Khyentse Foundation Buddhist Studies Lecture Series, and the Khyentse Foundation Buddhist Studies Doctoral Fellowship.
