The Center for Buddhist Studies is pleased to sponsor Midautumn Wellness event at the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center. The event will feature a special talk and Asian dinner menu by Dr. Andrew Weil, a world-renowned pioneer in integrative medicine who blends modern science with traditional healing. With a lifelong passion for food as medicine and a deep respect for Asian culinary traditions, Dr. Weil has curated a menu that is both delicious and health-promoting, highlighting anti-inflammatory ingredients, balanced flavors, and mindful preparation.

The Midautumn Wellness event will also include a talk by bestselling author Lisa See, followed by a book signing. Inspired by the journey of her great-grandfather Fong See, Lisa See has spent her career exploring Chinese and Asian cultures. Lady Tan’s Circle of Women chronicles the life of a real Ming Dynasty female physician. The story and the research are fascinating.

A selection of Lisa See’s books will be available for sale, and we highly recommend reading Lady Tan in advance to fully appreciate the story—bring it with you to be signed!
