Objectives
Since the 1980s, scholars around the world have pioneered a diverse set of methodologies in the digital humanities that differ from earlier techniques due to the grand discourse of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Under these circumstances, many researchers in East Asian studies have focused on the role of Classical Chinese as an essential line of inquiry in the field. This conference will explore how researchers have used the digital humanities to further the development, transformation, and implementation of Classical Chinese, a common cultural heritage in East Asia.
