This free event will explore how Buddhism can engage with AI to enhance Dharma dissemination, spiritual cultivation, and ethical reflection in the modern era.

Talk Abstract:
In this lecture, Venerable Dazhao will explore how Buddhism can adapt to and utilize AI to enhance the dissemination of the Dharma and spiritual cultivation. The discussion will cover the opportunities AI offers, such as innovative Dharma propagation methods and personalized learning, as well as the challenges, including ethical concerns and the risk of over-reliance on technology. Master Dazhao will also examine the fundamental differences between AI’s computational knowledge and the realization of Buddha-nature, emphasizing the importance of mindfulness and wisdom in the AI era.
Speaker's Bio:
Master Dazhao, who styled himself as Tiantaizi, is the 47th lineage heir of the Tiantai Sect in Chinese Buddhism. He is currently the director of the Buddhist Association of China, the vice president of the Zhejiang Buddhist Association, the president of Wenzhou Buddhist Association, the postgraduate adviser of the Putuoshan College of the Buddhist Academy of China, the postgraduate adviser of the Hanshan College of the Jiangsu Buddhist College, the postgraduate adviser of Minnan Buddhist College, the vice president of the Wenzhou Buddhist College, and the chairman of the Wenzhou Buddhist Yongjia Chan Association, the abbot of Miaoguo Temple in Wenzhou City, the abbot of Anfu Temple in Wencheng County, the abbot of Yuanyin Temple in Jinan, Shandong, and the chairman of Zhejiang Anfu Lisheng Charity Foundation.
In 2001, Master Dazhao obtained a master’s degree in Buddhist literature from the Buddhist Academy of China; in 2007, he was formally recognized as the 47th lineage heir of Tiantai Buddhism by Elder Jueguang of Guanzong Temple in Hong Kong; In 2017, he founded the Zhejiang Anfu Lisheng Charity Foundation. Over the years, he has been actively engaged in the study and promotion of Tiantai, Pure Land, and Chan Buddhism (especially Yongjia Chan), and has continuously taught the Dharma. He is often invited to give lectures to major monasteries and groups at home and abroad.

講者簡介：
達照法師，號天台子，是中國佛教天台宗第四十七代傳人。現任中國佛教協會理事、浙江省佛教協會副會長、溫州市佛教協會會長，並擔任中國佛學院普陀山學院、江蘇佛學院寒山學院、閩南佛學院等多所佛學院的碩士研究生導師。此外，他還擔任溫州佛學院副院長、溫州佛教永嘉禪學會會長，並出任溫州市妙果寺住持、文成縣安福寺住持、山東濟南願印寺住持，以及浙江安福利生慈善基金會理事長。
2001年，達照法師獲得中國佛學院佛學文學碩士學位。2007年，他正式承接香港觀宗寺覺光長老傳授的天台宗第四十七代法脈。2017年，他創立浙江安福利生慈善基金會。多年來，達照法師致力於天台宗、淨土宗和禪宗（特別是永嘉禪）的研究與弘揚，並持續不斷地教授佛法。他經常受邀至國內外各大寺院及團體講學，廣傳佛法。
