Professor Andrew L C Wong 王聯章, is senior fellow of Center for Buddhist Studies at the University of Arizona, and a visiting professor of multiple universities, including Tsinghua University, Shaanxi Normal University, Nanjing University, Sichuan University, Shandong University, and East China Normal University, among others. He is also Chairman of Maitreya Culture and Education Foundation limited, and Founder/ Principal and Mentor of the Institute of Maitreya Studies (Hong Kong). His achievements include: setting up 33 Maitreya libraries in Mainland China and overseas; published 16 books including daily practice manuals of Maitreya Studies; acted as Chairman, Organizing Committee of First International Academic Forum on Maitreya Studies 2013, First Maitreya Youth Cultural Festival 2016, First Youth Forum and Second International Academic Forum on Maitreya Studies 2018, among others. He has received numerous honors, including 2015 Outstanding Leadership of World Buddhism, Thailand, 2011 Medal of Honor, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, 2018 Honorary Doctorate Degree in Philosophy conferred by Vikramshila Research Foundation, India. He also serves Chief Editor of two collections: Complete Collection of Yogacara Literature and Selected Edition of Teaching Materials of Chinese Buddhist Canon.
