Director Jiang Wu joined a research tour organized by University of British Columbia and led by Prof. George Keyworth to examine the rare manuscript edition of the Japanese Buddhist canon in Kyoto from May 29 to June 8.

Between May 19 and 28, 2017, Prof. Albert Welter led a group of graduate students from Department of East Asian Studies to visit and study Buddhist monasteries in Hangzhou, China in collaboration with Zhejiang University and Lingyin Temple.

Director Jiang Wu attended the China-Canada-US Buddhist Forum at the University of Toronto from June 15-22, 2017 and presented a book as gift to the forum organizer Ven. Dayi, the abbot of Canadian Cham Shan Temple.
